MARINA SKOURTELI
Marina Skourteli is a Chartered Counseling Psychologist (HCPC Reg., CPsychol) and trained psychoanalyst at the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society. She completed her MA and PhD studies at the University of Manchester and City University London, studying the transference-countertransference dynamics that govern the therapeutic relationship. She worked as a psychologist-psychotherapist specializing in the field of mental health in Great Britain from 2005-2013. Since 2013, she has been working as the manager of the Psychotherapy and Internship Service at the "Franco Basaglia" Day Center for Psychosocial Interventions of the E.P.A.P.Y., a structure that provides psychosocial rehabilitation services (individual and group psychotherapy, psychiatric follow-up, etc. intervention home, etc.) to people with severe psychiatric disorders and complex psychopathology as well as privately providing individual psychotherapy, clinical supervision and research supervision. She is an active qualitative researcher with an annual presence at psychiatry and psychology conferences in Greece and abroad with main fields of interest in psychoanalysis, psychosomatics, adult psychopathology and delinquent, violent or deviant behaviors.
